Great surf sound! Normally I use tube amps I make or old Fenders, but for bass,t he Kustom amps do sound really nice. Download Bone Thugs N Harmony The Art Of War Zip there. I will say that the reverb is really cool. I feel it is noisy transistors on the power amp board, but I hate to pull all those transistors only to find that this is normal for the reverb / vibrato model. The hiss is there with everything turned all the way down or all the way up. I like these amps but was wondering if anyone has experience with what could be causing the increased hiss in the K200 head with the reverb and vibrato. The other cabinet is a 2 x 12 K100 speaker cabinet that has a new set of Jensen speakers in it.
At present I have a 2 x 15 Altec cabinet with original Altec made Kustom by Ross speakers. The two standard K200 heads are reasonably quiet but the reverb vibrato one has about double the hiss of the other two non reverb vibrato heads. Finally, many years later, I found a couple that I bought.
